Our Story

In 2019, Bala shared a horrific experience about a friend in India who fell victim to a property scam, losing 8 lakh rupees. It took four years and an additional 4 lakhs in legal action to resolve and recover the situation.

Coming from the typically seamless and secure property-transactions system in the US, we had never considered such challenges possible. Further conversations with friends back in India revealed this as a widespread issue — and both of us felt compelled to do something about it.

After more than fifteen years in the US — stable jobs, working spouses, well-settled lifestyles — uprooting to start a new chapter in India, focused on a solution for the highly unorganized and unregulated real estate sector, was daunting. Fortunately, our families supported us, and we returned to India in 2021, in the middle of the pandemic.

After several months of engaging with stakeholders and conducting thorough market research, Bala meticulously designed our inaugural product, custom-tailored to the unique demands of the resale real estate market. One of our stakeholders made us realize that a platform for the rental market was the need of the hour. We incorporated that feedback through multiple iterations and built a new product that streamlines rental transactions seamlessly.

An early, initially hesitant stakeholder recognized the potential and became one of our first adopters. Earlier this year we were selected for the Brigade REAP program and introduced to the Brigade Group leadership team, who instantly expressed interest in adopting our product.

After refining the product and securing Brigade Group as a client, we raised a small round of funding to accelerate our growth. With a small, dedicated team, we’ve assisted over 1,000 tenants and landlords in securely and efficiently completing their transactions in just the last few months.
